Log a Sighting
Not every koala you see is in trouble — but every sighting helps us understand where koalas are moving, living, and facing risks. By logging a sighting, you contribute valuable data that supports rescue efforts, conservation planning, and habitat protection.
When to Log a Sighting
You see a healthy koala in a tree or moving across a yard.
A koala is spotted crossing a road but appears uninjured.
A koala is resting in a low tree or unusual spot but does not seem sick or hurt.
If the koala looks sick, injured, or in danger, please call our 24/7 Rescue Hotline immediately: 0435 504 222.

When you log a sighting, please include as much detail as possible:

Exact location – address, GPS pin, or nearby landmark.
Koala behaviour – for example, resting, eating, climbing, crossing a road.
Condition – healthy, thin, unusual behaviour, signs of injury.

Why Sightings Matter
Community reports help us:
Track koala populations across Redlands and surrounds.
Identify dangerous roads and hotspots.
Monitor signs of illness and emerging threats.
Respond more quickly if a koala later becomes unwell or injured.
Every sighting adds to the bigger picture. By logging a koala, you’re helping us protect them now and into the future.
